Creative direction for on-air and social teasers to promote upcoming series

To help launch the third season of History’s Greatest Mysteries, History Channel tapped Roger and I to create an Escher-inspired teaser that would integrate green screen footage of host Laurence Fishburne into a surreal and seemingly-inifite house of mysteries.

Dubbed our ‘Cathedral of Mystery,’ we storyboarded out our journey through a cavernous, brutalist space. Concept art helped us define the look of the unique ‘rooms’ within this cathedral, teasing some of this seasons forthcoming mysteries.

We integrated Laurence into every shot (some more ‘Easter Egg-y’ than others) while also having some fun teasing out a multi-dimensional Laurence in the final reveal.

In addition to the on-air teaser, we brought out ‘Cathedral of Mysteries’ over to the Season 3 Key Art.

A spin off of their wildly successful Curse of Oak Island series, Lost Gold of World War II was a brand new series for History Channel. With a story rooted firmly in the past, the marketing team at History came to Roger and I to create a teaser animation to announce the series and establish the narrative of the first season of the show.
